So I'm finished week 1 - I ran yesterday. It was great.
My husband was home when I left for my run and I asked him for some pointers - since he's knows everything about the sport. He's been a runner for years and had a personal trainer hired at one point and competed nationally. Anyway, he gave me some great tips about form and suggested that the reason my hips hurt is that I'm twisting when I run.
So this time I made an effort to swing my arms perfectly straight - and what do you know? My hips were only minimally sore after my run. And don't hurt at all today.
So this is great. My hips don't hurt. My knees don't hurt. So far this is treating me much kinder than the Shred.
